The Accordion Journey begins and ends in Osimo, in the Province of Ancona, in the Marche region. From here, you will travel to Castelfidardo and explore the town’s rich accordion-making tradition through workshops, visits and musical experiences.
Private transfers from Bologna or Ancona can be arranged on request, making arrival and departure convenient.

The lessons with accordion teacher Daniel Stratznig are tailored to the level and interests of the participants. Alongside individual practice and musical development, the programme creates opportunities to experience the accordion in the context of its Italian tradition and craftsmanship.

The Accordion Journey is open to all levels, from beginners to experienced accordion players. Daniel Stratznig adapts the lessons to the individual level of the participants, so everyone can learn, practise and enjoy the music at their own pace.

Please bring your own accordion, a music stand and a pencil. Having your own instrument allows you to practise throughout the journey and participate fully in the lessons.
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing suitable for warm spring days and cooler evenings, as well as layers to be prepared for changing weather conditions. Comfortable clothing and good walking shoes are recommended for the excursions. Don’t forget a light jacket or rainproof layer in case of cooler or wet weather.

>You will stay in an agriturismo villa in Osimo, in the Province of Ancona, located approximately 15 minutes by car from the centre of Castelfidardo. Surrounded by nature, the property offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with tastefully furnished rooms and a peaceful setting to unwind after a day of music and discovery.
Accommodation is available in single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, making the agriturismo a comfortable base for both solo travellers and those travelling together. Its location also allows easy access to Castelfidardo and its accordion-making tradition.

Castelfidardo is one of the most important centres of accordion making in the world. The town has a long tradition of craftsmanship and is home to renowned accordion makers and the International Accordion Museum. Throughout the journey, you will meet people who continue to preserve and develop this unique musical heritage.

The journey is designed at an easy to moderate pace. Some walking is involved, including in historic town centres with cobbled streets, steps and uneven surfaces. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

The programme includes several accordion lessons with accordion teacher Daniel Stratznig, complemented by visits to accordion makers, workshops and cultural experiences. The combination gives you plenty of time to practise while also discovering the history, craftsmanship and culture surrounding the instrument.

The programme includes private transfers all along the way, allowing you to travel comfortably between Osimo, Castelfidardo and the surrounding area. Additionally, private transfers from Bologna or Ancona can also be arranged on request.

Absolutely. You are welcome to join the Accordion Journey as an accompanying guest even if you do not play the accordion. The package for accompanying guests comprises accommodation, meals and excursions included in the programme, while accordion lessons are excluded. This allows you to enjoy the journey at your own pace while your travel companion takes part in the accordion lessons.
